Find My Vax LA was created to help communities navigate COVID-19 vaccination resources with ease and confidence. Our mission was to provide accessible, reliable information that connected people with the healthcare services they needed.

We believed that public health information should be clear, current, and available to everyone, regardless of their technological background or language preferences.

Find My Vax LA Initiative & County Integration

Find My Vax LA was a groundbreaking initiative created by Andrew Friedman that helped LA County residents find COVID-19 vaccination appointments during the critical rollout period. The site helped over 120,000 users, centralizing vaccination availability from 1000+ locations across LA County.

The platform featured multilingual support, zip code searches, and a Twitter bot that provided real-time alerts about appointment availability. Find My Vax LA was featured in major media outlets including the LA Times, KCAL, KTLA, Telemundo 52, Time Out Los Angeles, and Larchmont Buzz.

The initiative was also promoted by then-Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, highlighting its importance as a community resource during the critical vaccine rollout period.

Service & Integration

Find My Vax LA operated as an independent platform from February 2021 to May 2021. Due to its success and effectiveness, it was then incorporated into the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health to become the county's main vaccine portal, ensuring continued service to residents through official channels.
